Professional Approach and Customer Service
Experience and research have made clear to me that organisations booking this kind of sevice expect the following: -
- Reliability- there's nothing worse than organising an event to which the booked act/workshop turns up late, or, not at all.
I offer absolute reliability, knowing that this is the best way to build and maintain a good reputation and hence more business.
- Commitment- organising an event is difficult and stressful, acts/workshop providers cancelling days before it's due, because they've had a better offer, leaving you to find a last-minute replacement, is extra stress that you don't need.
When I'm booked, and written confirmation of the date, time and costs received, I will be committed to appearing, regardless of any other offers that may be made afterwards.
- Health and Safety- Workshop participants must not be exposed to unnecessary hazards. With fire performance in particular, safety is paramount.
Where there is any possibility of hazard I will conduct a written risk assessment, and then take all necessary steps to minimise risk. In return I will expect all pre-agreed safety measures to be put in place by the event organisers (eg, ensuring the pre-agreed minimum space is available for fire performance and is capable of being barricaded off).
- Relevant documentation- Any organisation has certain responsibilities to those who attend its events, particularly if they include young people, or if any of the activities are hazardous.
I have public liability insurance (£2,000,000) for all my activities (includes craft workshops, circus skills workshops, performance, unicycling and fire performance); and an Enhanced Disclosure (CRB) for working with young people and other vulnerable groups.
