Pye Bank SchoolI recently obtained some funding from 'Burngreave Small Grants' to run circus skills workshops in Burngreave. Pye Bank Primary benefitted from this. They already had a stock of circus skills equipment, so I geared the workshops towards enabling them to make continuing use of the equipment in future. So, as well as teaching the basic skills, I also emphasised the best ways to take care of the equipment and, held a one-hour workshop for adult staff, so they could teach use of the equipment in P.E. sessions etc. After this, pupils benefitted from 2 full days of workshops, with around 120 children having workshops over two days.
